48 Hour Ploughing Marathon
We are very grateful to our sponsors

We are very grateful to Bruce Hopkins for providing an MF 6490 tractor, Dowdeswell for a 5+1 Furrow DP140 Plough, and to Watson Petroleum and Evesons Fuels who each provided 750 litres of Diesel. Also to Andrew Green who loaned us a tractor, and Stephen Elliott who loaned us a small plough, which were used for marking out and headlands. We ploughed 140 acres between Friday evening and Sunday evening.
The pictures tell the story....

Obtain one Large tractor and plough...

Grease well before starting...

Into the field and ready to go

Friday 6pm Ready to begin...

Off we go. After a few runs the plough
was set up nicely.

A few hours later and still going strong

Setting up camp for night 1, the BBQ going well

6 AM Saturday Morning, still going

Stop for fuel and away we go...

Saturday 10am, stop for a quick photograph
for Coventry Evening Telegraph

Everyone has to have a go, even Steph!

Well, everyone who could find the tractor...

Saturday 11pm, it's still going

Phil just can't get the hang of this game...

How many Young Farmers can you fit
in a caravan?
More than the bed could cope with!

Sunday Morning, still moving....

And the plough is still attached

Mind the pole, Scott

What's that flag tied to?

Scott won't loose his Land Rover in a car park

Sunday 3pm, nearly there....

6pm, 140 acres and 1500 litres of fuel later.

The survivors on Sunday evening.
Thank you to everybody who helped...
